Morgan Sports

Morgan Sports - Combat Sports & Gym Equipment

Morgan Sports is the brand you turn to when you need to kit out an entire gym rather than just yourself. Australian owned, with a range that runs from $12 hand wraps to $540 Olympic barbells, it covers boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ, judo, karate, taekwondo and strength training under one name. Coaches, PTs and clubs buy Morgan by the crate for a reason: the tiers are clearly drawn, the stock is deep, and the gear holds up to class use rather than just personal training.

Understanding the Morgan Tiers

Five series, each with a clear job. Classic is the volume option — bag mitts from $28, focus pads at $38, hand wraps at $12 — built for group classes and PT studios kitting out a rack. Alpha Series is the student and club tier, with boxing gloves at $63, shin and instep protectors at $66 and Thai pads at $140. Aventus moves into leather, with 10oz to 16oz boxing gloves at $90 and leather focus pads at $80. B2 Bomber is the premium series, built on Italian brushed leather — $100 gloves, $170 Thai pads and coaching gear including thigh guards and chest protectors. At the top, 1918 Heritage is the flagship: gloves, head guard and shin protectors all at $148, with curved Thai kick pads at $257.

Coaching and Pad Work

This is where Morgan is strongest. The pad and shield range spans straight and curved focus pads, Thai pads, round shields and heavy curved strike shields, with the shields built on Australian-made closed-cell foam across the Aventus and B2 lines. For coaches taking full-contact work, there are belly pads, chest and body protectors, thigh guards and calf and shin protectors — the gear that keeps you holding pads for years rather than months.

Bags, Balls and Gym Fit-Out

Alpha punch bags come in 4ft, 5ft and 6ft, sold empty with bag fill available separately so you can hang them at your own location. Angle bags cover uppercut and hook work. The speed ball and floor-to-ceiling range runs from the Aventus at $45 through to B2 Bomber leather. Beyond combat, Morgan carries Olympic barbells from $237 to $540, battle ropes, weight lifting belts and commercial LED interval timers.

Uniforms for Every Discipline

The Dragon uniform range covers most of what an academy needs. BJJ is handled by the V2 450gsm pearl weave gi from $124 in white, blue and black, sized M3 through A4, with IBJJF-approved competition pants at $50. Judo runs the Dragon 1.5 550gsm weave in white and blue, taekwondo starts at just $31, and karate is covered by the Kyokushinkai 14oz brushed canvas gi at $95. Gi pants start at $21, which matters when you're outfitting a junior class.
